The Livorno Aquarium invites you on an exciting exploratory journey into the world of marine life and beyond, offering a sequence of unforgettable emotions. Developed on a two floor bulding, each with its own captivating theme to explore, here’s what awaits you: on the ground floor, you’ll find yourself immersed in the deep blue sea, where you can explore 33 tanks, a mesmerizing tunnel, and a special tank hosting the green turtles “Ari” and “Cuba”, alongside the majestic Napoleon fish and the sleek blacktip sharks.
Raising to the first floor, you’ll explore a completely different world dedicated to the terrestrial nature. Here, in a specially arranged space, you can admire the variety and beauty of insects, amphibians, and reptiles. Be enchanted by the chameleon, the arrow frogs, the stick insect, and discover the secrets of a real ant farm with the industrious leaf-cutter ants.
Before concluding your visit, don’t forget to step out onto the Aquarium’s wonderful panoramic terrace, over 1,000 square meters from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the Livorno seafront, the islands of the Tuscan Archipelago, and the charming Terrazza Mascagni. The Livorno Aquarium is not just a place of entertainment, but also a hub of science as an Information Point of the Tuscan Observatory for Biodiversity, a Center for the Recovery and Rehabilitation of Marine Turtles, and a Scientific Institute.
