Are you ready to dive into an extraordinary day, experiencing the sea in a sustainable and respectful manner aboard a fishing boat, discovering the secrets of the fishermen of Livorno?
Once you arrive at the Medici docks of the Old Port of Livorno, right in front of the Quattro Mori monument, you will board the “Iceberg I”, a modern fishing boat 12 meters long and over 4 meters wide, specifically designed for fishing tourism to ensure up to 12 guests (excluding crew) maximum comfort and safety.
You’ll sail along the Livorno coast, exploring the secrets of its seabed, until reaching the spot where the fishing nets are cast. After experiencing the mix of waiting, wonder, and excitement as the catch is hauled onboard, the ever-charming Agostino, not just a captain but also an experienced fisherman and skilled cook, will lead you into a new sea party.
Onboard, after a glass of prosecco, comfortably seated under a sunshade, you’ll have the chance to taste what you’ve caught; freshly prepared in the true Livorno culinary tradition. Two or three appetizers, a first and a main course will make you fall in love with our sea’s flavors. All of this, of course, matched with a selection of fine wines, refreshing beverages, desserts, coffee, and even a digestive to enhance your senses.
But the adventure doesn’t end here! Fully satisfied, kissed by the sun, refreshed by the sea breeze, you’ll finally head towards the last stop of your day to discover one of Livorno’s favorite spots: the Protected Marine Area of “Secche della Meloria”, an untouched marine oasis where you can dive into a refreshing swim exploring the wonderful seabed of a corner of paradise. So, a tip: bring your snorkel, fins, and a mask.
